Reduce Single Use Plastic Bottles


The Green School team wanted to reduce recycling in school and protect the environment. They decided to survey all classes regarding the use of single use plastic bottles. This is the result of the survey on 24/01/'19.

Next, we created an information board highlighting the harm plastic can do to the environment, animals and life in the oceans.

All the teachers have supported the campaign to reduce the use of single use plastic bottles in school.
Here are some of the shocking facts we learned about plastic pollution:


Plastic bottles take almost 1000 years to decompose
Almost every piece of plastic ever made exists today!
Plastic is killing almost 1.1 million seabirds and animals each year
73% of beach litter is plastic
The average time that a plastic bag is used for is.......12 minutes!
